WorldCourts ([login to view URL]) is a database of court judgments. It currently runs on Zoom Search Engine, which allows users to narrowing their searches by date. The current version of the index page of the website does not contain that function. I am looking for a developer to write a code that incorporates this function without interfering with other sorting and search functions. I am attaching an HTML page that shows how this function should *look like*.
In terms of *function*:
1) if the user does not select any values in the drop down menu, and does not enter the dates then this function should not apply to the search;
2) if the user selects one of the options in the drop down menu, then the script should automatically populate dates in the 'to' and 'from' field on the right of the drop down menu
3) the user should be able to check and uncheck the values in the drop down box. if the user unchecks the values, then the populate dates should disappear; if the user changes the value in the drop down box then the populate dates should change to correspond to the period selected in the drop down box
4) the user should be able to enter specific dates in the 'to' and 'from' fields located on the right of the drop down box, without selecting a value in the drop down box.
You will need to copy the script into 2 other versions of the index page (click on 'subject matter jurisdiction' and 'territorial jurisdiction' to see the other two pages.
When replying please let me know how many hours you anticipate it will take you to complete this project.
