Objective: Streamline the process of inventorying and uploading items to eBay and website while minimizing the number of software integrations required. I would like the inventory database to be the hub of where everything is. Parts get added to it, images are added, it has the ebay and storefront requirements so it would be simply “sending” the data to the store and ebay.
Steps of Inventorying.
-Item is added to inventory
--The items age currently added to inventory and the part type index is updated with an ebay category number, shippinging ID, return ID, payment ID, storefront channel ID, price etc from the index already. This would mean that the item is essentially ready to be sent to the storefront(website / eBay).
-Make any pricing changes or store changes that you may want to apply to a specific product to account for damage, mileage, condition etc.
Add photos of the images in bulk. (will need to upgrade server?)
--Currently due this through suredone with a CSV file and a compressed image file. The CSV has the item SKU and the number of images that belong to it. The image file has the images and they are renames with the SKU.
--It would be nice to be able to add general images of the car to the car management and they would act as a “stock” photo for items in the event photos haven’t been added of each item yet. This would speed up the process of getting parts of the car live more quickly.
-Send parts to storefronts with bulk or individually.
-When items sell on storefront they update one another so there is no overselling.
-Newly added parts page that displays the most recent added parts as shown here, link would be better to say “recently added” or “new inventory”:[login to view URL]
-Parts by car page that shows the vehicle with information about it and a button to the parts from it. This is currently done by having a stock number from the car in each parts description and the search function searches the stock number and returns the parts with that stock number. : [login to view URL]
-Year / Make / Model Filter like on the home page here: [login to view URL]
