Simple script to enable positioning of items in a simple PHP online jewellery catalogue. At the moment new jewellery items appear in the order that they are added to the database.
The user needs to be able to select the position of each item.
Positioning interface has already been added to the administration backend of the catalogue and position fields added to the mySQL database but needs scripting and testing.
Jewellery catalogue has 8 top level categories, 'Diamond', 'Gemstone' 'Silver' 'Gold' 'Tribal', 'Antique', 'Mens'. Each of these top level categories has subcategories that belong to it eg. Diamond > Engagement rings, Gemstone > Turquoise.
The jewellery items listed under each subcategory need to be able to be ordered by the user. Each jewellery item has a thumbnail image which displays in a scroller. The thumbails are clicked on to display a larger image and information about the particular item of jewellery.
The scripting needs to create the functionality in the back end for the user to control the position/ranking of the items and then control the display of the items pulled from the mySQL database in the positions decided by the user.
The interface that I have designed and which has been created thus far I have uploaded. Due to time differences (I am based in Australia) there may be a delay in my response to bidders.
I do require a summary of your understanding of the requirements before I will proceed with any bid. Thank you for your interest in this project.
