Recoding /debugging required for a custom built PHP/mySQL content website that was written some years ago and which I have inherited from another developer. Database fields were not properly named so all database tables have fields like 'Col1, Col2, Col3 etc' (NOT BOTHERING TO FIX THAT NOW THOUGH).
There are two things that needs to be fixed on the website now:
1. STOCK SALES CALENDAR NOT SHOWING FIRST IMAGE UPLOADED FOR A PARTICULAR SALE.
There is a stock sales calendar on the website which uses two tables, and a single PHP file '[url removed, login to view]'. In the database the 'details' table holds thumbnail images related to the stock sale (that are uploaded via the admin interface) and a description of the image (that is entered by the user). In the [url removed, login to view] script the thumbnails are associated with a larger image so that visitors can click on the thumbnai to open a larger image.
The code for pulling the thumbnails and image descriptions from the SalesCalendarDetails table is very messy and poorly structured. It used to work but when the website was recently moved to a new server- it stopped working properly.
The bug that needs to be fixed is that the first image and description related to a particular stock sale (identified by id number) is not being pulled. The first image and description pulled by the script is the second one for the particular stock sale id in the table.
I want the messy code for pulling these images and desriptions from the database rewritten in clean well structured code and the bug described above fixed.
2. THE 'KEY'BUTTON IN THE CATTLE SALES SECTION OF THE ADMIN SITE IS SUPPOSED TO SWITCH THE ORDER OF THE INDIVIDUAL SALES ENTRIES BETWEEN ALPHABETICAL ORDER AND ID NUMBER ORDER (Order that they were entered by the user). THIS HAS STOPPED WORKING AND NEEDS TO BE DEBUGGED /REWRITTEN.
There is a screen shot that I have uploaded showing the admin interface with the 'Key'button that has stopped working.
I have also uploaded a copy of the [url removed, login to view] file- there is a comment marking the section that needs to be tidied up that has the bug described in section 1. above.
