I need to design this first but essentially I need a quote for the below which will act as a Customer Relationship Management tool. See client notes below also.
It needs to be secure so not sure if Wordpress is ideal for this? Please advise. The information needs to be kept VERY secure and also use Password encryption – do you have experience of security and encryption?
Admin can add:
New contact (assigned to company)
New Project (assigned to company, plus contacts associated with that project in particular)
Company will have notes against it will be logged as by user adding the comment and time / date added. History will be against individual project per company.
Contact will have history log also – admin can adds notes by Date and Time.
Assign keywords against a Contact and a Company, as well as allow keywords to be used in History logs (free text fields), so system can search and bring back results.
Client wants to be able to search History logs / contact details / company details (both per project and per contact). See his comments below. Results would show any Contact pages with these keywords assigned against it. He wants to be able to search generally in the notes or in specific fields only (using a drop down for search criteria e.g. Skillset, Qualification, Sector). It is of utmost importance we work to get the search functionality correct until it works as client wishes. My designs will obviously help demonstrate.
Client message regarding requirements:
1. We will host it in the cloud so we can access it remotely. Security of this data is of utmost importance so we are happy to pay whatever this costs for peace of mind. This will be factored in to our budgeting.

“I know you want a history log also which I am taking you want to capture which client the log update is for, who is writing the update and the date and time.” YES PLEASE
We would want a section for each law firm (client), which would show the contacts attached to it, plus fields for mainline number, address, and a blank box for notes. Crucially this is where we would log a client project to track activity – e.g. meeting, new assignment, progress, which would then update against a contact if they were linked to the assignment.
In an absolutely ideal world we would create a Twitter-esque functionality, to log and search for key words. For example if I came back from a meeting where I gained any intelligence, I could type it into a notes field and if I marked it @privateequity or @namedcontact it would link with a contacts own page. We can then search on these words. Does this make some sense?
The search functionality is important and we would like to be able to search words in blank fields in addition to fixed fields (skill-set, qualification, sector).
We probably want something akin to a glorified Address book, where 1) we can search on a range of fields, like skills or industry or a keyword and 2) an additional page to log client activity.
