I have a client who is a real estate agent. She works out of a fairly large office, but would like only her listings to show on her website, or at least for her visitors to view only her listings, similar to the way that it works at [url removed, login to view] However, since she has recently built a new site, she doesn't really want to go to [url removed, login to view] to have her site re-done. Please feel free to ask questions and I will post answers, since I am not certain what info you need to clarify the job
We are therefore looking for an innovative use of client side scripting, that will allow information downloaded by the consumer to be sent back to the realtor's site for rendering.
The idea is that the user will execute queries against MLS.ca, and instead of writing down the results, they will submit it back to our site.
The purpose of this approach is to distribute the MLS.ca queries across the users (and not our site), and to put the burden of data use on the user.
You will need to be creative on how to solve this.
We look forward to your ideas.
Your bid must provide specific details on your approach to the 'screen scraping' challenge, and specific details on what features the portal will have. Finalists will be asked to prepare mock-ups.
