Hi. Basically I need some advice on how to accomplish what would seem to be the ‘reverse’ from the normal with my small website.
I’ve been in Show-Biz all my life, although ‘retired’ now!
The website which is fairly simple, but has about 10 x 3 minute clips from various shows etc, has been ‘up and running’ for many years.
Things became more difficult when my ISP was taken over, and the built-in website creator seemed to close down as well. [ The ISP was IXWEBHOSTING, and the Website Software was SITE STUDIO]
Anyway, I managed to rescue most of it, and we got it working again with my current ISP, which is INMOTIONHOSTING.
But what I’m now trying to do is to save it all to a hard drive, so that I can copy that to USBDRIVES as and when required, for Grandkids etc.
I have managed to download the whole thing by using Google Chrome’s [SAVE AS], and it all works well, as the ‘relativity’ still exists in the copy.
The problem is that I uploaded all the clips to Vimeo, and set the same Password for them all. And this all still works as long as the user is ‘On-line’.
But if not, then there is just a blank space with a little figurine if it is tried to be accessed.
What I want to do is to edit out the Vimeo links and clips, and insert copies of the Originals, which of course I still have.
I have searched the web for clues, but most info is about creating web-sites off-line, to be uploaded later. Not the other way round !
If you have any suggestions as to a program I might try, or anyone who could do this, I would be very grateful. Needless to say I’ll be happy to pay for any Program that can help me do this.
I’ve written to several HTML Editor companies, but not heard back from any ! Seems to be a modern ‘Internet’ thing !!
Thanks in advance.
P.S You can see the site at rod-hudson.com. The Intro pics don't work for some reason !
