Scribes: New website replacing old - open to bidding

I have multisite WP site experiencing problems that I would like to replace with a non-multisite. It is a site devoted to providing free advice and news, as well as recommending web resources, writing tools and apps for writers. Eventually, a paid contest will also be offered. I don’t want recurring payments regarding my site. I mention this because there are a lot of premium plugins that require a monthly fee. From third parties I am only interested in free or single-payment-only solutions.
