I am setting up a free screensaver website which I will need a CMS for. some things that the CMS will need to do.
* php, and mysql database driven (CSS tableless preferably)
* it should be SEO friendly
* it should also have a breadcrumb links at the top.
* there will be a couple things the home page will need to display
o Home page content
o last 10 recent screensaver with a title, and short description (in a tiled view) 2 columns, 5 rows
* Left hand column that displays all the different categories to choose from.
* admin login page
o ability to edit content on the home page
o add new categories/sub categories.
o add a screensaver to that category/sub category
+ for each screensaver added, I will want to display the images that is included with the screensaver. so it should allow me to upload the screensaver, upload thumbnails of the screensaver pictures, and also allow me to add a description of the screensaver.
Im no concerned with how the page visually looks, but I want the ability to apply a template to it. So when its coded, I would like it to be flexible if I decide to change the look and feel of it. What I'm really looking to get done is the home page to display the recent updates, and the 'welcome' message. Home page (all all pages) will show all the different categories on the left site. When you click on the category, it will display all the available screensavers with a description, however, this will be displayed with 1 column, unlike the home page. So it will show a thumbnail on the left, and the description on the right, then the following screensavers will be displayed below that (more of a list view, not tiled). The description on home page will be shorter than the description on the category pages.
I have uploaded 3 images to give examples. I'm not looking to spend alot of money on this project.
Thanks for your time.
Let me know if you have any questions
It is ok to use an existing CMS platform to complete this job. As long as it still functions the same way as described above.
