Its a small motor parts retailer who wants to sell by e-mail i.e.. shoppers choose their goods and the cart is totalled up and an order form produced which is sent by snail mail, along with a cheque. However, he may go fully e-commerce at a later date and so this needs to be taken into consideration. The catalogue needs to hold around 200 products with room to expand to 400 plus.
The potential client would also like to maintain the site without asking the developer to make changes to the text and images both within the parts catalogue and the static web pages themselves.
There will be around eight categories.
A forum needs to be integrated also, ideally phpBB.
PHP, MySQL flavoured.
The design template is already produced and spliced ready for coding. All graphics will be provided. Categories and stock to be added by client.
