A PHP script that can run on a cronjob to detect changes in a webpage is required.
Please see a sample of the webpage below:
[url removed, login to view];filler1=see&filler2=multisee
If an extra line of text and a dropdown menu (for example) is added or removed, the script must detect this change and send me an email.
Minor changes, such as anti-caching measures, time of http request etc. that only add a few bytes onto the page size should not trigger the update email, however.
Your script would:
1. Download the page
2. Check if it is (significantly) different to the last check's version
3. Send an email if there has been a change
A hash of the file probably wouldn't work, as tiny changes would make a difference. Perhaps the best way would be to detect whether or not the _filesize_ has changed, more than 5 bytes for example.
The script will be automatically run every 2 minutes, so should not be too processor intensive.
* This project should not take more than an hour or two for an experienced coder, so please bid accordingly.
* The script will be tested on a similar page to the one in question.
