Small PHP Script

Here are the project details: To be completed by Nov 15, 2006 Provide limited support (if needed) for a month following the project It’s a private access database which requires the following - a page where administrators can register users - a secure login, which will allow users access to the database - The ability for users to upload files, which will be approved by an administrator - The ability to download and sort files according to specific categories and dates Here’s what I’m thinking: - First page will be a login screen, where users can login in if they have been given access, if they don’t have access just have a link to email whoever to gain access - Then once they’re in they can o A) § View documents in certain categories and sort them by data or alphabetically, and have like 25 documents on a page § The documents will be like .doc, .xls, or .pdf so it shouldn’t be bad § It would be ideal if the admin could add their own categories, if that’d be too much work I’ll try to come up with a list of categories that they might need o B) § Ability to upload new documents and a short description of the doc § The Documents will go to a database that only the admin can see § And the admin should probably receive an email when the new documents are added (there’s email code in the register file) § The admin will approve the documents and place them in the appropriate category (this will be in the admin section) - That should be it for the user section (have a link to each category, to submit a document, or to go to the admin page) - The admin section will have: o A login page, where they use the same email and password to login (But I assume that the admin info will be stored in a separate table so that only ppl assigned to be admins can login in) o A register page, where they can register users and have the option to assign them as admins or not o A page where they can view the users (edit, delete them and sort the list have like either 10 or 25 users/page) § On the edit user page they can edit their details or change their password o A page where they can approve documents and place them into categories (with the date approved, the description, file name, able to download – that all the registered users can see)
