I need a small (I think) mod to my self-hosted Wordpress blog.
I make extensive use of Flash charts on my site (including several on the main page at [url removed, login to view]). I use FusionCharts(.com) scripts to create the Flash charts. For security reasons FusionCharts will not accept absolute URLs to call the FusionCharts scripts or the XML files which contain the chart data. So when I want to include the charts in my Wordpress blog I have a problem because of the directory structure Wordpress uses - blog posts can appear in multiple directories such as:
[url removed, login to view] AND
[url removed, login to view]
My workaround thus far has been to simply create images of the charts and include them in the blog posts, but I would really love to have the feature-rich Flash charts right in the blog posts.
So I want Wordpress modified (ideally in such a way that Wordpress can still be easily upgraded by me without breaking the mod) so that the proper relative URL to the Flash and XML files is always used, and the charts will always work in Wordpress.
