I want to make a website for a trading platform for shares/stocks. A good example of how it would look, and function would be like any major stock market brokerage site for stock exchange. However, the shares traded won’t be real life company’s or organisations; instead they will be a list of custom ‘ecards’.
Each ecard will have the very same characteristics of a stock or share as per the standard Stock market.
For simplicity its best to think of each ecard as a different business such as Coca Cola, Apple or Samsung.
Lets look at a real-life example for shares in the company APPLE.
APPLE has a total of 5.0 Million shares on offer.
Each share is currently trading at $200usd
APPLE therefore has an effective Market Cap of 1 Trillion dollars. (5,000,000*$200)
If I own 2 APPLE shares the value of my holdings would be $400
The same principle can be applied for an example Ecard (Ec1)
‘Ec1’ has a total of 10,000 shares on offer
Each share currently trading at $10 each
‘Ec1’ therefore has an effective Market Cap of $100,000 (10,000*$10)
If I own 5 Ec1 shares the value of my holdings would be $50.
Ecards will be able to be traded between users on the platform. As there will be a fixed number of shares for each ecard, when a share is bought by one user, in effect this share has also been sold by another.
Users will be able to see their holdings, previous trades (buys and sells), current value etc.
Each different ecard will have its own page. This will display is current, and historical data relating to the share. For example; ecards, Ec1,Ec2,Ec3… EcX would all have their own background characteristics including history graph, market cap, current value, etc.
For example if APPLE was an ecard its information would be as per the following link [login to view URL]
I will be the admin in charge of setting how many different ecards there will be and how many shares for each, and any information about the ecard. However before I start going into further detail I’m looking for someone that can show that they understand what I am after.
