TWO Domains name to the one site

I am looking for someone to sort out a problem i have....

I have a website that is on my .com domain name....

I have just purchased a .[url removed, login to view] domain name as I want the search engines to pick up that my site is of Australian origin, The company that is doing my meta tag optomisation said the easiest way to do this is to buy the .[url removed, login to view] domain which i have done....

The .[url removed, login to view] domain has been pointed to the .com website but the optomisation company had this to say:

I have spoken to my hosting company and they are not aware on how to do this,

Somone mentioned a 301 redirection....but i dont know what this is or how to do it..I want search engines to pick up both the .com and .[url removed, login to view] domains without getting any penalties from the search engines...
