My website [login to view URL] is an e-commerce website that sells kilts to customers. We require functionality in WooCommerce which matches the setup of our sister site USAKilts.com. We need to create the "Find Your Tartan/Clan" functionality that is present on USAKilts.com. When a customer searches for their family name, for example, "Macleod", all the products that are available in this Macleod tartan are displayed. When you search, you will see that there are three types of material that the Macleod tartan is made in, namely: - 12oz Poly Viscose - 11oz Wool - 13-16oz Wool Within these options, there are different Macleod tartan designs (namely the "Dress" or the "Modern") for the 12oz PolyViscose, and you will see there are many many different designs for the 13-16oz Wool. Once the customer chooses which tartan design they want, the products that are available in this tartan design are displayed. When you click through to a product, you will notice that the tartan design has already been selected. There is the option for the customer not to select the type of material that the tartan is made in, and the products that are available in that tartan design are displayed. Because there are so many different tartan designs, the tartan design is not selected in the product page, so the customer has to search for their tartan in the database. We also need functionality for the customer to choose a tartan in the product page. For example, if I wanted to find the "Macleod" tartan for this product - [login to view URL], I would "Click here to select your tartan", and search for "Macleod" and choose the design I want. Before I select my tartan design, there is a "details" page that is displayed, which shows details of the tartan design, then I can click "Select". The tartan design then appears in the "Select Your Tartan" area (with the option to choose a different tartan), and the customer can then progress their order to input their measurements. At the moment, the customer has to search an image gallery and write in the tartan they want in text (see [login to view URL]). I am happy to clarify any questions people may have.
