Hello, I would like to start an Access database similar to the Access "Service Template," built within the program.
However, I would like to add/connect a Confirmation No. box/field and an area to attach and save documents. This will help me search thru the database for all projects when customers ask me a question about an individual project I've completed for them. Having a confirmation number search system is key for me.
I have a document translation website. I translate all sorts of material from Spanish to English and vice versa; I am a new service only start-up company, small with no employees, just me--the owner.
Also, I only need the database set-up, none to very little data entry is required from the database creator. Since I'm a new start-up company, there is very little data to input.
I don't care for MS Excel for this project because it's not as streamlined as Access. I'm looking to start a larger database foundation because I offer many services that need to be broken down (e.g., turnaround time and pricing), and I see myself growing in the near future.
Lastly, I cannot make this project able to "Share" with anyone on this site or community alike. I translate sensitive information (e.g., medical, immigration, etc.) and cannot risk public viewing. So this project will need to be private.
