This is for help with an existing PHP script that saves data into a MySQL database. This should be a simple, 5-10 minute project if you know PHP and MySQL well. This needs to be completed right away.
Currently the script has a string that has a find and replace function that replaces "-" with "_". I would like to remove this and allow "-". When I attempt to make these changes I am unsuccessful. Instead, "-" gets removed entirely. I think this is an issue with having "-" in the MySQL database. I have tried to backtick ( ` ) the "-" but it does not work.
Here is the line of code I am attempting to modify:
$path = str_replace("-","_",$path);
I would like it to be:
$path = str_replace("-","-",$path);
I have also tried to remove this line of code from the script, but that does not work either.
