Hello, A student described as weak in "core maths" is usually carrying an unclosed gap from an earlier grade, not failing the current syllabus. Shaky fractions and indices resurface as failure at algebraic simplification; weak ratio sense resurfaces in trigonometry and kinematics graphs. Session one is a 25-minute diagnostic across arithmetic fluency, algebra and graph reading, so we fix the actual bottleneck rather than work through chapters in order. Plan: Weeks 1-3: repair foundations while keeping pace with his schoolwork. Weeks 4-9: algebra, trigonometry, introductory calculus, with mechanics and electricity taught right after the maths each one depends on. Vectors before kinematics, algebra before circuits. Weeks 10-12: past papers and timed practice. Every session ends with a problem set and begins by checking the previous one. I do not move on until he can explain the topic back unprompted. M.Sc. Physics, IIT Madras, currently a research fellow in theoretical physics. English throughout, Google Meet with a digital whiteboard, worked solutions sent after each class. Your budget works.
