We have selected Globalstar STX-3 chip for GPS satellite navigation.
The host processor is STA2025 Cortana+
Antenna is Spectrum PA 25-1615 025SA
Can you design a circuit design for the same (Gerber, Schematic)
The host processor can change, Main job is to set the interval of the tracking, power management etc
The only purpose of the GPS tracker is to find its location for the GPS system.
It will be placed on the shipping containers which will travel through ocean
We must be able to track the location of the container at regular interval of time say 1 hour
The time interval can be set through programming by connecting the circuit to a computer through USB
The circuit wakes up from sleep mode and connects with the satellite
It sends the location to satellite and disconnects
then it sleeps to conserve energy
Th step 1 to 3 continues until the battery gets drained or we switch of a button on the circuit manually
Dimension : 3 inch by 3 inch for PCB Preferably. Single sided PCB design
Note : You can go for any other chip other than STX3. But it should have worldwide coverage and be cost effective
Please send me the details of other chip you find before we continue. Ideal product will have the best coverage and cost efficient.
Also make sure to use ISO certified components as much as possible.
Scope: PCB design and a sample PCB (Power management, Tracking feature in land and ocean using satellite directly)
