[Remote, Long-Term] eBay Product Research Assistant | Experienced Candidates Preferred

Job Overview We operate an eBay export business focused on Japanese products (books, hobby items, business & industry items, musical instruments, etc.). We are looking for a reliable, long-term partner for product research. You will research sold items on eBay, compare them with Japanese e-commerce sites, and record details in a Profit Calculation Sheet (Excel/Google Sheets). ________________________________________ Work Process 1. Research Sold Listings on eBay o Check the sales history in assigned categories. 2. Cross-Check With Japanese EC Sites o Search Japanese platforms (Yahoo! Auctions, Mercari, Rakuten, etc.) o Record purchase price, product link, and other details (approx. 15 fields). 3. Fill Out Profit Calculation Sheet o Submit completed sheet with eBay sold price, sourcing cost, URL, etc. ________________________________________ Target Categories • Books • Hobbies (figures, game-related items) • Business & Industry related products • Musical instruments (We mainly focus on rare Japanese items in demand in North America, Europe, and Australia.) ________________________________________ Requirements & Conditions • Must research at least 40 items per week (approx. 4–6 hours). • Must have PC, internet, and communication tools (Slack, Zoom). • Work is fully remote, flexible, side-work OK. • Accuracy and detail orientation required. Trial: 20 products (for quality check). Main contract: 100 products within ~3 weeks (approx. 10–15 hours). ________________________________________ Compensation Payment Rules (Milestone-Based) • If an item shows 20%+ profit margin → Paid at the normal rate. • If an item shows below 20% profit margin → Paid $0.01/item (minimum guarantee). Rates • Trial Milestone (20 items): $0.25/item (20%+ margin) → up to $5. • Main Milestone (100 items): $0.35/item (20%+ margin) → up to $35. • Payment is made per milestone, upon submission and approval (inspection completed). ________________________________________ Communication • Before contract: Freelancer messaging. • After contract: Slack and Zoom. ________________________________________ Qualifications • Not an active eBay seller, not working for other eBay sellers. • Able to maintain confidentiality, no unauthorized subcontracting. • Familiar with Japanese EC platforms (Yahoo! Auctions, Mercari, Rakuten). • Skilled in Excel/Google Sheets. • Careful, accurate, and detail-oriented. • Available to start immediately. • eBay research or global marketplace experience preferred. ________________________________________ Application Questions When applying, please answer: 1.
