Fledgling company looking to develop a football (american) strategy computer game. This game will need to be database driven (holding individual player information which the game will need to access in real-time).
This will be an up to 2 player game, although solitaire play would be needed as well. Each player will act as the coach, calling plays from different offensive and defensive formations. The software will need to incorporate the overall rules of the game (available upon request), as well as optional "house" rules, which will should be able to be turned on and off by the player(s).
Additionally, this game will need to be able to connect to a virtual server for online multi-player games. The game will need to be able to compile statistics from each played game (see a typical NFL box score for the types of statistics needed to compile).
Also, the software will need to be able to access (whenever launched and the PC launching it is connected to the internet) an advertising feed (company will sell targeted advertising for view within the game's interface).
The chosen developer has the opportunity to have continual yearly work (this will be an NFLPA liscensed game) in the area of database updating, etc.
We are open to suggestions for the best way to program this, and it's architecture.
