As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for Planning, scheduling and tracking of customer deliver-ables, providing regular status reporting, assessing Risks and arriving at mitigation plans, managing the scope of the project, managing the relationship with customer (and other vendors), managing customer expectations and managing the team.
Build up expert level functional knowledge base in assigned products
Effectively manage customer expectations of delivery and functionality
Accurately schedule and track progress providing weekly visibility on progress and risks
Actively monitor, manage and resolve risks in deliver-ables
Manage multiple customers, schedules, issues and risks
Track and manage assigned team members performance
Assess risks and identify possible mitigation measures
Manage daily activities including issue resolution and communication across the execution teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
Manage the relationship with customer and other vendors
Manage the scope of the project, by strictly adhering to the change control process
Ensures timely escalation of project issues to the management
Work with a globally distributed virtual pool of resources
High speed Internet connection, web camera for meetings
Maintain regular work hours until 1:00 pm CDT Time, accommodate customer meeting needs for later as necessary
To perform successfully, you must have strong technical and customer communication skills.
Proven ability in planning, scheduling and tracking of customer deliverables
Proven ability to understand technical challenges, design trade-offs, implementation options
Enterprise product consulting, development or support background
6+ month customer direct communication experience and strong customer communication skills
Overall experience of 6 to 8 years, with at least 1-2 years of Project Management experience
Experience developing and executing project plans
Possesses problem solving, prioritization, presentation and facilitation skills
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle
Excellent communication skills
Quality and result oriented
Easily adaptable to changes
Good team player, able to accept constructive criticism and give feedback
Qualification for this role begins with an unpaid testing phase where candidates are required to provide verifiable identification, complete online skills testing, and attend a brief Skype video interview. The testing phase lasts for no more than a week, and highly motivated candidates can complete all requirements of the testing phase within a few hours.
Candidates who pass our testing phase will be offered a one week fixed price trial assignment. Those who show progress and dedication during the trial phase but fail to complete the assignment successfully may be offered an alternate position within DevFactory.
