Residential Access Consultant -- 2

I need a disability access consultant for a residential building. The consultation will focus solely on the Entrances and Exits. The consultant must be accredited. I have plans already developed that will need to be reviewed and amended to include disability access. The council's exact requirement is as follows: Adaptable Housing Under the Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan 2014 the land is zoned E1 Local Centre. Clause 7.17 of the Great Lakes Local Environmental Plan 2014 provides that development consent must not be granted to development for the purpose of residential accommodation on land within Zone E1 Local Centre unless the consent authority is satisfied that the development is consistent with AS 4299–1995, Adaptable Housing. Section 6.3.1 of the Great Lakes Development Control Plan 2014 provides that dwellings located above the ground level of a building may only be provided as adaptable dwellings where lift access is available within the building. Further to this, it is required that any development application be accompanied by certification from an accredited Access Consultant confirming that the adaptable dwellings are capable of being modified, when required by the occupant, to comply with the Australian Adaptable Housing Standard. It is noted that the proposed development does not include lift access and no detail, including certification from an accredited Access Consultant has been provided to demonstrate that the dwelling is compliant with the adaptable housing provisions. Accordingly, the application is to be amended to be compliant with the provisions of the Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan.
