Our house in Ottawa, Ontario is scheduled to close on August 6 and I need a licensed Ontario real-estate lawyer who can take full responsibility for handling the closing process. That means preparing and registering the transfer, coordinating with the buyer’s lawyer, clearing the existing mortgage, preparing the final Statement of Adjustments, holding funds in trust, and releasing keys once everything is registered with the Land Registry Office. Key details • Freehold residential property, single first mortgage to be discharged. • I can supply the signed Agreement of Purchase and Sale as soon as the conditions have been met in 5-10 business days.. • My partner and I are available for signing the week before closing and can meet in person in Ottawa or sign electronically if that satisfies the Ontario Law Society guidelines. Deliverables • Registered transfer showing clear title. • Discharge of current mortgage and proof of registration. • Final Statement of Adjustments and trust ledger. • PDF bundle of all executed documents for our records. Acceptance criteria: registration completed on or before August 6, buyers receive keys the same day, and we receive confirmation of proceeds within 24 hours of closing.
