I am looking for someone with solid database design skills who can create a table structure dump (for postgres; compatible with 9.1), sample data, E/R diagram, and a list of 8-10 custom queries utilizing the tables designed, for a database to support an Ice Hockey Simulation program. We also require django models representing all tables/data. Knowledge of Ice Hockey is not required though may be beneficial. Estimates are ~30-40 tables will be required, though this is not a hard number.
The general concept is a database that can store hockey player ratings and stats for multiple leagues, spanning multiple seasons per league, including detailed play by play information for each game played, and derived stat tables based on those game stats. Also included are schedules, transactions, drafts, and other aspects of the sport of hockey. The system will support users that are owners of a league (and can own multiple leagues). Some database design work is already hashed out and can be provided to get things started (doesn't necessarily have to be used).
Successful completion of this task will likely lead to future projects down the road in relation to the above system.
