Automated Report Printing & Filing

I have a repetitive workflow that I want condensed into a single, intuitive tool. The core flow is simple: choose a party/customer, pick the relevant items, generate the pre-formatted report, then— with one click— save that report inside a folder named after the party and automatically drop a PDF copy of the same file into that folder. Printing from PDF, DOCX, or Excel templates must be seamless, but the most critical part is that the files end up in the right folder every single time. Here is what the tool must do: • Offer both a dropdown and quick-search box for selecting parties/customers. • Offer the same dual method (dropdown + search or free-text entry) for items. • Insert the current date below the items list and place the delivery date at the end of the report automatically. • On “Generate” click:  1. Create the DOCX/XLSX report from my pre-saved format (a demo file will be provided).  2. Save that document in a folder named after the selected party.  3. Instantly convert and save an identical PDF copy in the same folder.  4. Send the document to the default printer without extra prompts. The interface can be a lightweight desktop app (Python, C#, VBA, PowerShell—whatever you are fastest with) or even an Excel-embedded solution, as long as it is reliable and easy for a non-technical user to run. I’m comfortable supplying the template files and folder structure for testing. If you have experience in document automation, file-system scripting, or similar projects, let me know how you plan to approach the PDF conversion and the one-click save/print sequence. Timeline is flexible but I’d like an initial prototype quickly so we can iterate.
