Hi, I have been a python developer for the last 5 years and I have been working with image processing for an even longer period. Personally, opencv is one of my favourite libraries period. I understand that you don't require a solution using Yolo and other machine learning algorithms because you don't have a GPU but it is possible to modify an existing CNN and improve its performance capabilities so that it runs smoothly even on a CPU based PC. In the past, I have developed CNN that works on raspberry pi. But for that, I will need to make a huge database. Although I don't recommend it I can solve this using pure image processing but I am not sure that I will get the desired results.
