Large Volume, Text-Processing App

I will try this again. I need a text processor to automatically sort, remove, and replace text in huge text files. We do research for large companies with hundreds of products and services. The text files being processed are huge, running up to 300 MB per file.
I think this is easy for the right person as it is already almost complete. I am coming from a previous project (Large Text File Processing App -- 2) that was cancelled and my freelancer was removed from Freelancer.com. I am not sure why. Only half of my money was refunded. I realize that other half is never coming back, but I am hoping we can do this cheaply as it has caused me a setback in time and money.
The text processing app is running on my machine now. I have the Python script from the previous project, and I have installed Python on my local machine. The "Program" (see attached) is up and running already, but it needs a few tweaks, which we were in the middle of doing when you cancelled my project. I have attached a "Program Requirements" page in which the specifications are listed. Most of these are done already. All that is left to do is the following:
1) There is a minor issue with not replacing backslashes but instead is adding "nn" to it. I have the following in the [login to view URL] file: " / | /n " which should replace all " / " with a new line from what IU understood but the previous freelancers suggested at this point, to make a new file with all items to be replaced by a new line. That is "[login to view URL]" but I am not sure why we have to do that. Can't we simply use "[login to view URL]"? See below for a sample of text I am speaking of:

2) Change the present script so it splits lines at 7 words, not 6.
