I am interested in a Pan/ Tilt face tracking with Arduino/ Raspberry pie/ other with python OpenCV or similar and your suggested chosen hardware: microcontroller/ high quality camera. (I need a range of detection up to 2meters+-)
It is important to note I'd like some kind of movement modulation stabilization (PID or similar) so the system would move smooth and avoid shaking.

Mode of Operation:
- On/off switch.
When turned on would make a custom sound and turn the RGB blue-> wait 3 sec.
** I'm going to assemble a flashlight on a pan/tilt camera controlled with powerful servos. (In the attached picture I've used the pixy2, but of course it's just for demonstration).
When an object is identified 10cm or less from the camera the flashlight would switch on. (can be obtained by a relay).
After the initial 3 seconds there would be an automatic search for face (blinking red led). when it's locked there would be a custom sound and a green light would show. (It's possible to use an RGB light for this).
** The camera would "lock" on the face in front of it, meaning the closest to the middle of the frame. Then the servos would move the pan/tilt and try to keep that face in the middle of the frame. It is important to note that the camera should lock on the person at the beginning and would only follow him/her while ignoring other faces that get into the frame.
When the person leaves the frame it would reset-> look for a face in the middle of the frame to lock on etc.
Face tracking: Face, Eyes, Nose, mouth
Should be similar to this link, meaning recognizing a human face from the frontal and side views

For example...If suddenly the person covers his mouth/eyes/nose with his hands we should still be able to track him.
