Python script to check emails

I have a decent script that I want to improve, I found it free somewhere but I need it improved, i have the author permission to improve it. It's a Email account checker, asking POP servers. The script is here: [login to view URL] I need to implement the next changes to this perl script 1. make it multi thread, I don't know where I heard that it's not possible to multi thread in perl, but if it's not possible in perl I want it in python. 2. add IMAP so it could verify accounts on imap too if possible ( it has pop and pop SSL it needs IMAP and IMAP SSL 3. make it able to use proxy list from file [login to view URL] IP:PORT and IP:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD when that's the case 4. remove the email provider lines example (create the knows email providers in a new text file or a database whatever is simpler, each provider might have different domains connected to them like you will see in the example below) : Code: if ($details[1] =~ m/[login to view URL]) # [login to view URL] {$pop = "[login to view URL]";} elsif ($details[1] =~ m/windstream/) # [login to view URL] {$pop = "[login to view URL]";} elsif ($details[1] =~ m/gmail/) # gmail =====> SSL {$pop = "[login to view URL]"; $port = "995"; $SSL = 1;} this type of code should be removed. What I mean is that the script should be able to know the username domain like in our example our script should be able to get [login to view URL] and match it on a text file where we have all the pop3 and imap addreses of the servers because we might have many cases here: a) [login to view URL] pop is [login to view URL] [login to view URL] pop is [login to view URL] [login to view URL] pop is [login to view URL] b) we might have multiple ports for this email addresses like 110,995 pop ports and 993 and what ever is the other imap port :) I don't know if this can be done without a database in a text file. 5. Make the pop3 and imap mail check to find automatic the provider pop3 address or IMAP. I have a way to do it if a programmer doesn't know how to do it.
