script modification in python

these scripts should run at intervals. The code snippets above is an example of process and tasks the script should perform. In layman's term, a repo will poll, update and pull the remote at intervals when there is a commit, or specifically when a tag is released.

I've got an [login to view URL] (no modular setup) in the templates/ but I got another html file ([login to view URL]), which is a modal target when there is a click on the page link (with inline script for a tag -- href="javascript: popUp()"... this way.. popUp script is placed in the script tag at the end.. this all works when it's static pages and run on the server. but when I placed it in templates folder. it displays 404 error
