i like to use Raspberry Pi to generate 40KHz square waves
(1). use raspberry timer, something like below link, to generate 40Khz square wave. the good thing about below one is that i can call the function and control how much time the square wave is there, such as, after i call the funciton, if i delay 500 us, then it means the square wave will be there for 500 us x 40 khz = 0.5ms. I want to be able to control the length of square waves. I do not want a continuous 40KHz square. I want "her" to be there for a specified of time, only when i call her. I believe i will need two things something like (a) start_transducer (b) stop_transducer.

(2). do not want to use those "HIGH" and "LOW" to generate square wave. This is not what i want. I feel it is impossible or difficult control if i use HIGH and LOW to generate 40KHZ.
(3) the output square wave voltage shall be 0-5V
(4) need the detailed explanation of code, the library used, the wiring, the circuits, ..., and how to implement the code, and i will test it with my oscilloscope. You will have to find a way to prove and to demo it is working, and the sqare wave output is controllable, ...
(5) Phython and C language -- i beleive
