This position requires the person to work exclusively on these duties (not trying to do other jobs at the same time) for between 6-8 hours every weekday during AEDT - Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time business hours (about 8am - 6pm) where you will be holding discussions with Australian based candidates via our internet telephone system, and attending meetings with our team members and our customers.
This is not a role that someone can fit in around another job or around full time study. We will engage a freelancer, however this job is not strictly what many people call "freelancing". It is like a permanent / full time job, performed by someone who works for themself as a freelancer, they just have one customer - us.
We are an IT focused recruitment company established in 2009 in Australia, and all team members work full time from home across South East Asia.
We require an experienced IT recruiter, who understands technical positions and can telephone interview / screen Australian based technical candidates (like software developers).
Our cloud tool set includes full telephone (softphone) facilities and in addition to telephone interviewing, our recruiters attend Zoom / MS Teams / Google Meets interviews & meetings.
Candidates must speak and write in very fluent English, and have demonstrable experience in recruiting for Technical people such as Software Engineers.
Please note, this is NOT a Sourcing role or Lead Generation role. Whilst LinkedIn searching will be part of this job, and a LinkedIn Recruiter account will be an added advantage - previous experience and a demonstrated ability to hold fast and fluent telephone conversations with IT candidates in Australia, using English as the only spoken language is a crucial part of this role.
These conversations will often need to be persuasive, and you will need to be able to identify 'pause' and 'hesitation' in the discussions, and you will need to probe and explore reasons behind these non verbal signs.
Candidates with high demonstrable experience and ability to hold these types of discussions who do not have extensive candidate sourcing experience will be considered for the position.
Meanwhile candidates with high sourcing background but limited experience in telephone interviewing are NOT suited to the position.
We will consider candidates who initially wish to work on a part time basis (minimum 20 hours per week, during Australian hours of 9am-6pm), but only on the understanding that they intend to move to full time hours within say 3 months.
