I am writing an introduction chapter for a technical report. And as usually, I want the content of the introduction to be wide at first (as regards the discussed topics) and then focused (near the end) on the report's main topic.
The topic is what is being commonly called 4D printing (4DP - [login to view URL]). 4DP is basically doing 3D printing (or additive manufacturing for those who know) with smart materials (and possibly conventional materials) as raw materials. Smart materials are materials that can sense a stimulus and react to it by changing something in their state: e.g. color, shape, stiffness, etc. Some of them do simply convert a stimulus into another, this is the case for instance for photovoltaic materials which convert light into electricity. Here are two interesting videos talking about 4DP:

My introduction is structured in 4 sections as follows:
1. How the ways mankind crafts items have evolved?
2. Imbuing (static) objects with the capability of state's shifting
3. 4D printing
4. Motivation and objectives
What I would like to entrust someone with are the 1st and the 2nd sections. For these two sections I want references (numbered style) to support, to exemplify the statements. Figures would also be appreciated.
Section 1 (~1100 words)
It is related to the mankind history, manufacturing processes and materials. The purpose of this section is to let the reader know BRIEFLY a bit about how things have evolved in the way we craft stuffs from the dawn of mankind to today era. That would prepare the reader to appreciate the milestone being achieved by 4DP. Here are the points I want the section to address:
- Evolution in manufacturing processes and material uses from the ‘beginning’ to now: the main milestones. Something similar to what can be found in the attached file ([login to view URL]) would be fine.
- How important is manufacturing things to mankind or equivalently what mankind could have been without the ability to craft goods. Basically, reasons why it has been and it still be important to manufacture things.
- Impacts on the current civilizations.
Again, the purpose of this introduction is (among others) to let the reader know A BIT about how have things evolved. It should not go way too deep in specific history-related topics, what could decrease the reader’s interest/motivation to read the whole introduction
Section 2 (~800 words)
This section is about discussing the usefulness of man-made objects that have the ability to change. Example of these objects include child toys transformers that can shift from a robot to a car, baby spoons changing color to indicate the temperature, more futurist and actual examples like cars shifting to aircraft.
A little diversion to history would be well appreciated.
The two attached papers may help.
Suggestions are welcome.

a technical report's introduction: manufacturing and mankind evolution I have read your requirement, I’m best for this job, send me text so that we can discuss further.
I'm a Bsc degree holder in science. I have worked on many papers in report writing, research.I have read and understood your requirement and I know you will never regret, thank you.
I have briefly read the description on report development, and I can deliver as per the requirements however I need us to discuss for more clarity on the details, deadline and budget as well.
