SDR sniffing for UHF RFID products

Please read, understand and then respond. Experience with Sub-gigahertz SDR (Software Defined Radio) devices and computer-controlled radio devices such as the YARD Stick One required. Must be able to:

• Work with RFCat firmware in UHF RFID frequency band, typically 860-960MHZ

• Use YARDStick One to analyze, sniff communications between RFID reader and tags through its RFCat firmware.

• Decode in ASCII, store and present the information that is sniffed between UHF reader and the UHF RFID tags.

• Identify which specific tag(s) being read and source of UHF RFID messages, errors, status info, statistics and rough distance from sniffer.

We have a system setup with RFID reader, 2 Yardsticks and several RFID tags (it is reading the communications as waveforms) that will be made available remotely or you suggest alternative ways to help with the project.

Use Linux or Windows for development & deployment - must inform us which one. Also, get our approval for the IDE to use. All the source code, user manual in MS Word and any supporting docs will be owned by us and delivered to us. A user manual in MS Word also will be delivered to us.

Define before coding: Define the IDE, OS, beta version details.

Test online with our Yardstick a simple 'Hello World' type and also a simple text file read/write operations to confirm basic operations with it, before going on with heavy lift coding.

Delivery: Pre-beta in 60% of time you will take, help install/run on our HW, we shall revert with comments, deliver beta with fixed comments in 2 days, we shall test again, submit our comments. Fix & deliver

final version for our testing. Will go thru testing till all items fixed. Deliver source etc.

Final version will be tested with our Yardstick HW our RFID readers & tags.

Will need full source, user manual in MS Word, some training on the work you provide. Will work with selected person to get this done successfully. Please share your prior SDR experience.

Payments will be made after all development source, supporting docs are delivered, tested by us for the milestones.
