Hello, We’re interested in contributing to the development of HASH OS as a long-term engineering project, with the initial focus on establishing a stable, bootable prototype on selected smartphone hardware. Our broader Android/mobile engineering capabilities include Android application development, API integration, system-facing application architecture and custom mobile UI. For the AOSP-specific scope, we would first align the engagement around the target device, chipset/BSP availability and required Android release before committing to the bring-up plan. Proposed initial phase: Review target hardware and available vendor BSP/device trees Establish reproducible AOSP build environment Configure device-specific build and boot process Assess kernel, HAL and vendor-interface requirements Implement initial HASH branding/launcher/system UI Validate Android application compatibility Define suitable boundaries for Rust-based native components Establish Git-based build/release workflow and technical documentation Once the hardware and BSP constraints are confirmed, we can provide a detailed bring-up roadmap, milestones and team allocation. We’re particularly interested in the long-term collaboration and progressive development of HASH’s own platform technologies, rather than treating this as a simple Android skin project. Best regards, Bivanshi Ohri

Hi, HASH is interesting because this is much more than a launcher/theme project — the first challenge is getting a clean AOSP build booting reliably on real hardware, then building the platform layer on top of it. I have experience with Android development, Kotlin, Android/iOS, APIs and system-level application integration, and I’m comfortable working close to the Android platform and Linux environment. I can help structure the initial AOSP/device bring-up, custom System UI/launcher, HAL/framework integration, and prepare the architecture so HASH can gradually move beyond an Android skin. I’m interested in the long-term collaboration aspect rather than treating this as a one-off ROM build. Which smartphone/device are you targeting for the first HASH prototype?

I’m currently building a custom OS on top of AOSP 15/16, so this project is directly aligned with what I’m doing. My recent AOSP work includes building from source with Cuttlefish, working with EVB/reference boards and Pixel hardware, then moving to real Chinese tablets using MediaTek G99/G87 and Unisoc T616 platforms. I’ve handled device bring-up, boot/partition issues, vendor integration, framework changes, Launcher3/SystemUI customization, system services, SELinux/build issues, and Android app compatibility. I can also show a running custom OS prototype on real hardware. I have 9+ years of Android/software engineering experience and have worked from application level down to AOSP platform, JNI/NDK/native components, networking, and system architecture. For HASH OS, I’d start with a stable bootable hardware target, establish reproducible AOSP builds and device bring-up, then layer HASH branding, launcher/SystemUI, framework services, compatibility, and progressively move selected system components toward HASH-owned technology. My strongest native background is Android/C++/JNI rather than Rust-heavy development, but I can work with Rust components where they make architectural sense. I’m interested in the long-term platform ownership you described, not only the first prototype.

Hello, I can help build the first bootable prototype of HASH OS for Fly Frisson on real smartphone hardware. My approach involves pulling the AOSP source tree, performing the initial device bring-up, and integrating the Linux kernel alongside necessary HALs. I will customize the Android Framework, implement the custom HASH launcher and system UI with your proprietary branding, ensure full Android app compatibility, and introduce Rust-based native components for system performance. I bring extensive experience in AOSP customization, custom ROM development, Linux kernel integration, and low-level system engineering, and I am open to a long-term technical collaboration. 1) What specific smartphone hardware model or reference board are we targeting for this initial bootable prototype? 2) Which core system components or modules would you like prioritized for the initial Rust-based native rewrite? Thanks, Bharat

Hello, I'm a Senior Software Developer | AI & Cloud with 8+ years of experience working with Android, Linux and Java. I understand you need a bootable HASH OS prototype on real hardware: AOSP from source, device bring-up, kernel and HAL work, a custom launcher and system UI, plus Rust where practical. The real challenge is device bring-up: without a target that has kernel sources, vendor blobs and an unlockable bootloader, the build only runs on emulator. A common issue: teams pick a device first and discover locked bootloaders weeks in. My approach: first, lock one target device and verify sources and blobs. Then build AOSP and get a stable first boot. Finally, add the HASH launcher and system UI. Phase one within budget covers target selection, a clean build and first boot. I've worked with Android, Linux and Java on platform-level work, so I check Treble and VNDK boundaries before touching framework services. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 - Which exact device model is the target? Bring-up cost swings on kernel sources and Treble support. Q2 - I recommend starting from an existing AOSP device tree for that model rather than writing one. Faster first boot, and we fork it into HASH later. Q3 - Will this ship in India with Play Services? That changes the build from pure AOSP to a certified-compatible base. Happy to go over the details here in chat and suggest the best approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Building HASH's first bootable prototype means treating device bring-up as the spine: sync AOSP, get a clean vendor/kernel tree for your target SoC, then work HAL-by-HAL (boot, display, touch, audio, RIL) until it survives a real boot and reboot cycle. From there I'd layer the HASH identity — a custom launcher and SystemUI, framework/system-service tweaks, and branding — while keeping app compatibility intact so Play-store APKs just run. Rust fits well for new native components and daemons behind stable interfaces, which is also the cleanest path off "Android skin" toward HASH's own tech over time. I've taken Android apps through Google Play review end to end and ship automation/backend systems that run daily in production, so I'm comfortable owning this long-term rather than dropping a one-off. Which SoC and specific device are we targeting first, and is a working vendor/kernel source tree already available for it?

Hi, We can help build HASH OS from AOSP with a strong focus on Android platform engineering, Linux, HAL, device bring-up, system services, custom System UI/Launcher, and Rust native components. We understand the goal is to evolve beyond an Android skin toward proprietary system technologies. I’d approach this in phases: AOSP build and target device bring-up and kernel/HAL integration and framework/services and HASH UI/Launcher and app compatibility from Rust components. A few questions: Which smartphone/device is the initial target? Do you already have the device kernel source, vendor blobs and device tree? Which Android/AOSP version should the prototype target? Which HASH-specific system technologies should be prioritized first? We’re interested in a long-term technical partnership and can share relevant AOSP/custom ROM/Linux experience and developer CVs. Hi Fly Frisson team, HASH OS is exactly the kind of long-term build we want to own, not just deliver. We can take this from AOSP source to a bootable prototype on your target device. Our Phase 1 plan: Select a target device with available kernel sources and vendor blobs, and set up a reproducible AOSP build pipeline on Linux. Device bring-up: device tree, kernel config and HAL integration for boot, display, touch, radio, Wi-Fi and camera. Framework and system services changes for HASH-specific behaviour. Custom HASH launcher and SystemUI with full branding (boot animation, settings, OS identity). App compatibility testing so standard Android apps run cleanly. Rust native components through AOSP's built-in Rust support, starting with a system service. Why us: 10+ years building production software, with deep Linux server experience 4+ years of Android development, apps published on Google Play and the App Store Strong Java and Android SDK background for framework and launcher work Everything documented, so HASH fully owns its codebase We see this as the start of a partnership and are happy to scope Phase 2 once the prototype boots. Which device are you targeting, and do you have its kernel sources? Best regards, Amit

You want a bootable HASH OS prototype on real hardware — AOSP built from source, device bring-up done right, and a foundation that grows into its own system platform rather than staying a glorified launcher swap. Here's my approach: target a well-documented device (Pixel or OnePlus), get a clean AOSP build environment running, integrate kernel and HALs, then layer the custom HASH launcher, system UI, and branding on top. Rust-based components slot in at the native service layer where stability and memory safety matter most. My background covers AOSP builds, custom ROM development, HAL/kernel integration on multiple device targets, Android framework and system services modification, and Rust for native systems work. I understand the difference between shipping a skin and building a real platform — and I'm interested in the latter. Realistic timeline: bootable prototype with basic app compatibility and HASH branding in 6-8 weeks, with a clear architecture in place to build toward independent system technologies beyond that. One question before we go further — do you have a target device already selected, or is hardware choice still open?

---From Vision to Victory-I Code Your Success--- Hi, Could you share the target smartphone model and current AOSP branch so I can align the initial bring-up with the device tree, kernel, HALs, framework services, and boot requirements from the start? I understand HASH OS needs more than a launcher customization. The first milestone should establish a stable bootable foundation while keeping the architecture ready for HASH's own system technologies. • Build AOSP from source and configure the required device, vendor, and kernel components • Handle Linux kernel, HAL, framework, and system service integration for real hardware bring-up • Develop the custom HASH Launcher, System UI, branding, and Android app compatibility layer • Integrate Rust-based native components where they provide practical system-level benefits • Set up repeatable builds, debugging, testing, and a foundation suitable for long-term development I have strong Android, Linux, Android SDK, Java, native mobile, and backend integration experience, and yes, I have experience working with Rust-based components and low-level Android system development. I’m interested in taking ownership of the platform and continuing with HASH OS beyond the initial prototype. Looking forward to discussing the target device and first boot milestone. Best regards
