I’d like a complete explicit-dynamics study in ANSYS that captures how a free-falling steel block from 100mm strikes a hollow wooden cylinder under an impact load equivalent to about 4 000 N. The goal is to quantify the damage: crack initiation, crushing, or any other failure modes that show up in the wood after contact. Geometry is straightforward—Ill send the files there are total 27 files where the process is same but just the triangular block dimensions changes. Please handle the entire workflow in ANSYS (Workbench, Explicit Dynamics or LS-DYNA module as you see fit), set up proper contact definitions, mesh refinement at the impact zone, and run the transient simulation until the system settles. I need: • The ANSYS project files so I can reproduce the run • Plots of impact force-time history, energy balance, stress/strain contours, and any damage indices employed • A concise report (PDF or Word) explaining assumptions, boundary conditions, chosen material data, your interpretation of the damage pattern , and also the before and after screenshots of analysis and video of the analysis.
