General task of an application is to accumulate sound samples, acquired using sound sensor interface and saving the “useful” samples on a drive. “Usefulness” of a sample is determined by the classifier function. The function returns a amplitude values in different frequencies collected from the operation of a certain set of frequency filters, which are applied to the acoustic signal recorded ; Data acquired will be pushed along with result to cloud for storage and Dashing.

Hello How are you? I have experience in Sound processing for 5 years and very familiar with Python and Raspberry Pi. I have worked in sampling and quantization of sound signal. and then I have worked in speech recognition. I am a good sound engineer . You could implement the FFT function for based-analysis of sound. This method is the easiest way for the feature extractionb. Also I need to know what classifier algorithm you prefer? I recommend to use GMM, SVM, or ANN for the classifier. But, most people seems prefer to use MFCC considering it is well correlated with what people are actually hearing and also no one came up with anything better since. Let me know

Hello! I'm experienced electronic and software engineer. I have done many embedded devices and systems. Several of the last projects included Raspberry Pi (used C and Python for firmware programming). One last project is related to sound sampling, filtering, processing and storing in database. So I consider myself experienced enough to help you with this project. I have wide skills set, Raspberry Pi and other equipment here in lab for successful debugging, testing, etc. I'm available online every day and easy reachable. I understood your project but have one question. Just for clear view of the task. Is this classifier function, which you described, available in library or should be developed and coded by myself? If it's absent and should be created, then tell please more detailed about what frequencies will be collected from the operation of what set of frequency filters.
