I need a Windows-based application that talks directly to our Additel digital pressure gauges and Hydratron transducer, captures live pressure-temperature data, and drives the entire hose pressure-test workflow to NATA and current Australian Standards. The program must let a Technician log in, select a hose specification, enter temperature and target pressure, then automatically calculate the correct test duration and pass/fail limits. While the test is running it should stream readings from the instruments, display them in real time, and store everything in a SQL Server database. Once complete the software must produce a pressure-versus-time graph, compile all critical measurements, and generate a tamper-proof test certificate that satisfies NATA formatting requirements. Acceptance criteria • Reliable device communication with both instruments across their supported interfaces • Automatic duration/criteria calculations that match the cited standards under varied pressure and temperature conditions • Stored test records retrievable by hose ID, date, or technician • PDF certificate with embedded graph, unique reference number, and digital signature field • Installer and full source code delivered, ready for deployment on standard Windows 10/11 machines If you have experience with instrument control, SQL Server, and compliance reporting, I’d like to see how you would structure the solution and timeline.

Hi I am an embedded systems engineer with over 12 years of experience building Windows test, calibration and data acquisition software for industrial instruments. I have worked with pressure/temperature measurement devices, serial/USB/RS-232/Modbus style protocols, SQL Server logging, graphing, PDF reports and signed compliance certificates, so this hose test workflow is very much in my area. I would structure this as a reliable instrument communication layer for the Additel gauges and Hydratron transducer, a rules/calculation module for the NATA/Australian Standards test criteria, and a technician workflow that records every reading with enough audit detail to recreate the test later. The certificate can include the unique reference number, graph, critical measurements, pass/fail result and digital signature field, with an installer and full source code ready for Windows 10/11 deployment. A few details I would confirm first are the exact Additel/Hydratron models and interfaces, the standards/clauses to apply, and whether you already have a preferred certificate layout. I can also support validation with simulated data first, then final testing against the real instruments. Please contact me to discuss details.

Hi I can build a Windows desktop application for your hose pressure-test workflow with direct instrument communication, live pressure/temperature streaming, SQL Server storage, and compliant PDF certificate generation. The main technical challenge is making device readings, standard-based calculations, pass/fail logic, graphing, and certificate output reliable enough for audit and repeatable testing. I would solve this with a .NET Windows application, serial/USB/TCP communication drivers where supported, SQL Server database design, real-time charting, structured test workflows, and controlled certificate generation. The technician flow can include secure login, hose specification selection, temperature and target pressure entry, automatic test duration calculation, and live monitoring during the test. Each reading can be timestamped, validated, stored, and linked to hose ID, technician, date, device, and test reference number. The final report can include a pressure-versus-time graph, critical measurements, pass/fail result, digital signature field, and tamper-resistant PDF output. I can also provide an installer, source code, database scripts, and clear deployment documentation for Windows 10/11 machines. My focus will be stable instrument control, traceable data handling, and clean reporting aligned with your supplied NATA and Australian Standards requirements. Thanks, Hercules

Hi there, I understand you need a Windows pressure-test application that connects to Additel gauges and a Hydratron transducer, streams live pressure-temperature readings, calculates NATA/Australian Standards test criteria, stores results in SQL Server, and generates signed PDF certificates. I have experience building Windows desktop tools with hardware communication, serial/USB/API integrations, SQL Server data capture, real-time graphing, installer packaging, and compliance-style reporting. I would structure this as a technician login module, instrument communication layer, standards-based calculation engine, live test dashboard, searchable SQL records, and certificate generator with graph, reference number, audit trail, and digital signature field. Q1: Which exact Additel gauge models and Hydratron transducer interface types are being used? Q2: Can you provide the specific Australian Standards/NATA certificate format you need followed? Q3: Should certificates be digitally signed inside the app or exported for external signing? Best regards.

Hi, this is Paul from Canada. I understand you need a Windows .NET C# application for Additel pressure gauges and Hydratron transducer integration, capturing real-time pressure/temperature data, executing automated hose pressure testing workflows compliant with NATA and Australian Standards, and generating SQL Server-backed audit records and tamper-proof PDF test certificates with graphs and traceability. I have experience in C# .NET (WPF/WinForms), SQL Server, instrument control systems, and real-time data visualization, including serial/USB device communication, automated test logic, and compliance reporting with PDF generation and embedded charts. Could you confirm the communication protocol of the instruments (RS232/USB/Modbus/DAQ) and whether the NATA certificate template and calculation standards are already defined or need to be implemented from documentation? I can design a robust architecture with device integration layer, test engine, SQL audit logging, live dashboard, and certificate generator ready for deployment on Windows 10/11. Thank you Paul

Hello, I built many large scale industrial testing and data acquisition platforms similar before and I would love if I get the chance to work on your project. I can build this using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and device communication protocols with live data streaming, automated calculations, secure record storage, and PDF certificate generation that is easy to maintain. I prefer building solutions that clients can rely on for years. One question, do the Additel and Hydratron devices already expose documented APIs or serial protocols, or will protocol reverse engineering be required? Can we connect over a chat to discuss more about the project? Best regards, Dev Singh

Your NATA compliance workflow will fail audits if the certificate timestamps don't match the raw SQL records or if the pressure-versus-time graph can be regenerated with different data after the fact. I've built three ISO 17025 compliant systems where tamper-proof reporting was the hardest requirement - not the instrument drivers. Before architecting the solution I need clarity on two things: Does your Additel gauge support Modbus RTU or are you using their proprietary USB protocol? And what's your current SQL Server version - are you running Express locally or do you have a networked instance with backup policies already in place? Here's the architectural approach: - C# + .NET 6: Build a WPF desktop app with async serial communication handlers for both instruments, ensuring sub-100ms polling intervals to capture pressure spikes during burst tests. - SQL SERVER: Design a schema with immutable test records using computed hash columns and temporal tables to create an audit trail that proves data integrity during NATA inspections. - DATA VISUALIZATION: Embed LiveCharts2 for real-time pressure graphs during testing, then export static SVG renders into the PDF to prevent post-test manipulation. - MICROSOFT ACCESS MIGRATION: If you're currently using Access for hose specs, I'll build an import utility and normalize the data into SQL Server with proper foreign keys. - PDF CERTIFICATES: Use iTextSharp to generate locked PDFs with embedded digital signatures and QR codes linking back to the database record hash for verification. I've built similar calibration software for a metrology lab that passed AS ISO/IEC 17025 surveillance audits. Let's schedule a 15-minute call to walk through your current test procedure and confirm the Additel communication protocol before I scope the timeline.
