We are looking for someone who knows Solidworks and is familiar with the tools to make a design ready for plastic injection molding. Our current design has been tested extensively in 3D printing but we need help modifying it for manufacturing. The part consists of two halves that together form an enclosure for a battery electronics. The product is a flashlight type device.
The works consists of a few areas: tolerencing, adding draft angles, surface finish and moving 4 screw bosses.
The tolerencing is currently 5 thousands smaller that the part should be and we need to make the part larger than nominal by about 2-10 thousands to account for plastic shrink. We also need to add draft angles to the inside walls of between 1-3 degrees. Finally adding surface finish in a specified pattern and moving a few screw bosses off the external walls to prevent sink.
We would like to have this work all finished within a month, but hopefully much sooner. The deliverable is the new Solidworks part that has these modifications.
We may have some more projects in the near future, so we would love to find someone who we work well with!
