Motorcycle Seat Frame Design (Sheet Metal + Tube Bending, SolidWorks)

Description: We are looking for a mechanical designer experienced in sheet metal and tube bending to design a motorcycle seat frame. The product will be manufactured with sheet metal bending and profile/tube welding (not plastic injection). The candidate will be given a photo of a sample product. The plastic injection-molded parts used in the product will be removed from the design. Then, the candidate will be asked to produce the product entirely from sheet metal, pipes, and other metal parts. Using reference measurements of the motorcycle to be adapted, the candidate will be asked to smoothly draw the product. Scope of work: • 3D CAD assembly (SolidWorks preferred) • 2D technical drawings (dimensions, tolerances, welding symbols, surface finish notes) • Sheet metal flat patterns (DXF) + bending tables (K-factor, bend allowance) • Tube cutting and bending schedule (angles, radii, lengths) • Bill of Materials (BOM) • Exploded assembly drawings and simple jig recommendation for welding Requirements: • Strong experience with SolidWorks Sheet Metal and Weldments • Ability to deliver production-ready files (DXF, STEP, PDF drawings) • Previous experience with motorcycle parts, automotive, or welded steel structures is a plus • Good communication in English Deliverables: • Complete 3D model • 2D detailed technical drawings • DXF flat patterns and bend tables • Tube cutting/bending documentation • BOM Please provide: • Portfolio/examples of previous sheet metal/tube bending projects • Your estimation of time and cost NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) may be required.
