I have high-resolution Revo Metro laser scans of a single mechanical part and I need them turned into a native SolidWorks model that is fully detailed, feature-based, and ready for manufacturing. Every fillet, hole, pocket, and draft angle present in the scan must appear in the final feature tree so I can edit dimensions later. You will receive the point-cloud or mesh data packaged from the Revo software along with reference photos. Your task is to: • Clean or decimate the scan only as needed for accuracy • Reconstruct the geometry in SolidWorks as parametric features, not just an imported body • Preserve the original part’s geometry to the tightest possible fidelity—functionally identical when overlaid on the scan • Supply the finished .SLDPRT (and any auxiliary files) ready for me to open and modify Please briefly outline your workflow, typical turnaround time, and how you verify dimensional accuracy so I can move ahead quickly.

As an experienced Mechanical Engineer and an expert in SolidWorks, I can render your high-resolution Revo scans into an accurate 3D SolidWorks model that perfectly represents your single mechanical part. I will ensure that the model is fully-detailed, feature-based, and ready for manufacturing, preserving every fillet, hole, pocket, and draft angle present in the scan so you can easily edit dimensions later. My extensive industry expertise has exposed me to a wide range of product design and development projects across various sectors including automotive bodies where precision is paramount. This coupled with my deep understanding of SolidWorks, along with other leading CAD software like Creo, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, makes me capable to not only import the scans as bodies but also to reconstruct the geometry as parametric features which are essential for effective design modifications. In terms of the workflow outline, I'll begin with carefully examining the point-cloud or mesh data and reference photos provided by you to ensure dimensional accuracy. Based on this analysis, I'll then clean or decimate the scan only as needed for utmost accuracy before reconstructing the geometry in SolidWorks with tight fidelity to the original part. Typical turnaround time depends on complexity but I am known for delivering professional solutions efficiently and can assure you timely completion. Looking forward to turning your project into a reality.

As the owner of an engineering company with expertise in SolidWorks, my team and I have the skills and knowledge to tackle your project with precision and efficiency. We understand the value of creating a model that accurately represents the geometries, fillets, holes, pockets, and draft angles found in the original scans. Utilizing our parametric modeling skill set, we guarantee to produce a native SolidWorks model that's fully detailed, feature-based, and ready for manufacturing while preserving the original part's geometry. Our workflow strictly adheres to your requirements, starting with cleaning or decimating the scan for optimal accuracy while maintaining dimensional fidelity. We then move onto reconstructing the geometry in SolidWorks as parametric features, ensuring every aspect of the model replicates your high-resolution laser scans. Before final delivery, we conduct thorough verifications to ensure every dimension is precisely replicated. With our rapid prototyping capabilities, we can render your design into STL files that can be used for 3D printing and future modifications. As DFM experts, we're adept at optimizing product designs for efficient manufacturing and minimizing assembly time and complexity. Our proven ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions will benefit your project greatly. HI, I can deliver precise SolidWorks models from Revo Scan data, converting mesh scans into clean, parametric CAD ready for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy, smooth surfaces, and fully editable features. 1️⃣ What file format will you provide (STL, OBJ, or point cloud)? 2️⃣ What level of accuracy/tolerance is required for the final CAD model? 3️⃣ Do you need a fully parametric model or just surface reconstruction? Warm regards, The Blend Nation

Hi, I understand you need a fully parametric SolidWorks model built from your Revo Metro scan, with every feature accurately recreated and editable in the feature tree. I can convert the scan into a clean, feature-based model—rebuilding all fillets, holes, drafts, and pockets as native SolidWorks features rather than a simple mesh import. The goal is a part that matches the original geometry closely and remains fully editable. My workflow is: clean/prepare the mesh → extract key geometry → rebuild as parametric features → validate by overlay/comparison to ensure accuracy. I work with SolidWorks and reverse-engineering workflows to deliver manufacturing-ready models. Hello, I recently completed a similar reverse engineering project for a plastic component based on scan data, where I converted mesh into a fully parametric SolidWorks model with complete feature tree. I’d like to apply the same workflow to your project. My workflow: • Clean/optimize mesh (without losing critical geometry) • Import into SolidWorks (ScanTo3D / surface reconstruction) • Rebuild as feature-based parametric model (extrudes, cuts, fillets, drafts) • Maintain design intent for easy future edits Accuracy verification: • Overlay CAD on scan data • Section comparison & deviation check I will deliver a fully editable .SLDPRT matching your part with high fidelity. Turnaround: 2–3 days depending on complexity Ready to start immediately.

We don’t guess geometry, we rebuild it properly. Your scan will be processed in Geomagic Design X (industry-standard for reverse engineering) to clean, optimize, and extract accurate reference geometry. From there, I reconstruct the part as a fully parametric, feature-based SolidWorks model—then transfer it directly into SolidWorks with a clean, editable feature tree. Result: a native .SLDPRT you can actually modify, not just a dumb imported body.

Hello, I can convert your Revo scan into a fully parametric SolidWorks model ready for manufacturing and future edits. Workflow: • Clean/optimize mesh only where needed (no loss of accuracy) • Import into SolidWorks and rebuild using feature-based modeling (extrudes, cuts, fillets, drafts, holes) • Recreate a clean feature tree, not just a dumb solid • Maintain exact geometry by referencing the scan throughout Accuracy: • Perform overlay comparison between model and scan • Use section analysis + deviation checks to ensure tight fidelity Deliverables: • .SLDPRT file (fully editable) • Optional STEP + reference files Timeline: • Typically 2–4 days, depending on complexity I have strong experience in reverse engineering and precision modeling, ensuring your part is both accurate and easy to modify. Ready to start as soon as you share the scan data.

I understand you require more than just a surface wrap; you need a "living" CAD model where the feature tree reflects the actual manufacturing process of the part. Given the high-resolution output of the Revo Metro, my focus will be on translating that sub-millimeter detail into a clean, editable, and fully constrained SolidWorks (.SLDPRT) model. I specialize in Design for Manufacturing (DFM). I don’t just deliver a shape; I deliver a file that behaves the way a mechanical engineer expects—stable, editable, and ready for the shop floor.
