The project is a compact, bipedal humanoid that will rely on a PA-CF 3D-printed chassis and 21 actuators. I need a complete mechanical design package created exclusively in Fusion 360, ready for immediate prototyping and eventual low-volume production. Scope of work – Model the entire skeleton, shell and joint architecture so every component is ready for direct PA-CF printing without post-machining. – Integrate 21 actuators (servo or BLDC) with realistic torque, weight and envelope constraints; include mounts, brackets, gear trains or harmonic drives where necessary. – Optimise wall thicknesses, ribs and lattice infill for strength-to-weight, thermal dissipation and print time. – Plan fasteners, cable routing and access points to keep the robot serviceable. – Apply DFM/DFAM principles throughout, detailing print orientation, support strategy and critical tolerances. Deliverables • Native Fusion 360 file set (components, assemblies, motion study) • Exported STEP and STL files for every part ready for slicing • 2D fabrication drawings with critical dimensions and tolerances • Assembly drawings, exploded views and labelled BOM • Brief DFM report summarising print settings, material usage and post-processing notes Acceptance criteria A design review in Fusion 360 using the web viewer will confirm fit, actuator clearances, weight targets and printability on a 300 × 300 × 400 mm build volume before final sign-off. When you respond, please highlight your direct experience with robotics or load-bearing 3D-printed assemblies in Fusion 360.

Hi, how are you doing? I have studied the complete project description, and this is a strong match for our mechanical design and 3D-printing capability. We understand that this is not just a CAD modelling job; the chassis, joints, actuator integration and serviceability all need to work together for real prototyping. We are a team of engineering experts with strong experience in Fusion 360, mechanical assemblies, 3D-printable parts and load-bearing designs. We can develop the complete humanoid structure including the 21 actuator interfaces, joints, brackets, gear/harmonic-drive arrangements, fasteners, cable routing and service access. The design will be developed with PA-CF printing in mind, including wall thickness, ribs, orientation, supports, tolerances, weight and print-time considerations. We will also keep the 300 × 300 × 400 mm build volume in mind from the beginning rather than checking it only at the end. We can provide the native Fusion 360 assembly, STEP/STL for every part, 2D drawings, exploded assembly views, BOM, motion study and a practical DFM/DFAM report. We will also conduct the design review through the Fusion 360 web viewer and make revisions based on fit, clearance and printability checks. For the complete package, I would suggest a budget of $1,500–$2,000 USD with approximately 4–5 weeks for the first complete prototype-ready design and final documentation.

Hello, A 21 actuator humanoid needs the chassis, joints, actuator mounts, cable routing, and print constraints designed as one mechanical system. I can develop the complete assembly in Fusion 360, including load bearing PA CF parts, serviceable fasteners, joint clearances, gear or harmonic drive interfaces, and DFAM focused wall, rib, tolerance, and print orientation decisions. I’ll provide the native Fusion 360 assembly, STEP/STL parts, fabrication drawings, BOM, exploded views, motion study, and DFM notes. Could you share the actuator models or torque and envelope specifications so I can establish the joint architecture correctly?

Hi, This is a detailed mechanical design job, especially because the chassis needs to be printable in PA-CF while also handling actuator loads, joint movement, cable routing, service access, and tight dimensional constraints. I can work through the mechanical design systematically: skeleton and joint architecture first, then actuator integration, brackets and fasteners, wall/rib optimisation, print orientation, tolerances, and the final assembly/BOM package. The deliverables I’d target are the native Fusion 360 design, STEP/STL exports, fabrication drawings, exploded assembly views, BOM, and a concise DFM/DFAM report. I’d also check the complete assembly against the 300 × 300 × 400 mm print volume before finalising the parts. For a 21-actuator humanoid, I would want the exact actuator models, torque/weight data, target robot dimensions, and printer/process parameters before locking the mechanical architecture. Estimated timeline: 2–4 weeks Rate: $30 CAD/hour I’d prefer to review those inputs first and confirm the exact scope before committing to a fixed price.
