I need to develop a mask in access for showing specific data from two tables in a user friendly way. The same mask should have also an editable field that the user can modify.
More in details, the DB is about a company time and expenses tracking system. The DB is automatically populated from an Excel file. There are two main tables called "Expenses" and "Hours" with many details. I would need to develop a mask which summarizes these information for accounting purposes. The mask should allow the user to select the PayPeriod, the Employee, which type of hours and which type of expenses to display. Moreover, the same form should have a field for notes that the user can input. These notes will be stored in a third table called "Logbook".
The Expenses Categories and Hours Types, Payperiods and Employees are listed in four specific tables for reference.
Here attached you can find the DB with all the tables to be visualized/modified and a sample of how the mask should look like (it's a high level representation, something better looking would be appreciated).
Note: I spoke about "Mask", maybe it's not the appropriate term. I'm not interested in the tool, just in the result!
