I am designing a modular structure assembled from standard ISO shipping containers and need a qualified engineer to confirm the resulting reactions. The calculations must follow federal UFC Standards from start to finish. You will receive my files showing the current container stack, roof pitch, and anchorage concept. From that you will: • calculate loads on the frame and on the individual container-to-container connections • summaries the governing load combinations i that is easy for the local building official to follow • provide a concise report stamped with your credentials (if licensed) or clearly referencing ASCE 7 clauses for peer review Hand calculations are acceptable. Must show all work and be able to show load models Accuracy and clarity are my highest priorities. Hi Robert A., I recently completed a very similar project. I can show u sample. Questions 1) What are the site parameters and criteria: exact location (for wind, snow, seismic), Risk Category per UFC 1-200-01/UFC 3-301-01, exposure (B/C/D), topographic Kzt, site class, and whether AT/FP or blast criteria apply? 2) What structural modifications and connectors are used: any wall/roof cutouts, diaphragm strategy, corner casting/twistlock vs welded/bolted plates, intermediate ties, roof frame type, and foundation/anchor details (embed, edge distances)? Suggestions 1) Use a corner-post-only primary load path and a dedicated steel roof diaphragm; do not rely on container roofs/sides for gravity or lateral Model a 3D stick frame with semi-rigid connector springs and include P-Delta; check drift compatibility between stacked units 2) Check connections against ISO corner casting/twistlock capacities and design anchors per ACI 318-19 Ch17 for uplift/eccentricity Provide UFC/ASCE 7-22 governing combos including 06W uplift, drifted snow on lower roofs, ponding stability, sliding/overturning, and service deflection/drift Turnaround 3–5 business days after complete inputs Kindly send me a message, lets discuss in detail and my portfolio is uploaded here and on my website.
