Technical Scope of Work – Structural Modelling and Analysis in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Project Overview The project consists of the structural modelling, analysis, and verification of a new independent internal structural system to be constructed within an existing building undergoing rehabilitation. The purpose of the model is to provide all the structural calculations and documentation required for the Structural System & Analysis section of the project. ⸻ 1. Existing Building The existing building structure will be preserved as part of the rehabilitation project. The original structural system (existing columns, walls, beams, roof, etc.) is not part of the new structural design and should not be considered as the primary load-bearing system for the new intervention, except where its geometry influences the layout or where local connections need to be represented. The existing structure should therefore be considered as an existing architectural constraint rather than a structural system to be designed. ⸻ 2. New Structural Intervention Inside the existing building, a completely new independent structural frame will be constructed. This new structure must be capable of carrying all its own loads and transferring them safely to the foundations without relying on the existing structure. The proposed structural system is relatively simple and consists mainly of: * Steel or reinforced concrete columns (depending on the adopted solution). * Primary and secondary beams. * Floor system supporting an intermediate mezzanine level. * Roof supporting members where required. * Local bracing or stability elements if necessary. * Structural connections between the new members. The project also includes a mezzanine floor, which must be incorporated into the structural model. ⸻ 3. Building Use The building has a mixed-use program consisting of two main functional areas: * Horse training facilities. * Police operational and administrative facilities. Because of these different occupancies, different imposed loads must be assigned according to the applicable structural design code.
