Looking for a server admin, who is very knowledgeable about Amazon EC2 and who is interested in doing a small trial project now, and more & larger projects in the near future.
Right now I have a site that is running in a dedicated server. Site has many subdomains. I want to eventually move this site from actual dedicated server to Amazon EC2. Right now, the site has already been moved to EC2 and is operative. Website is running at the present in two microinstances. Databases in one and the actual site in another microinstance. Site runs in Drupal but does not have clean urls enabled which are necessary.
I would like someone to do the following.
1. Enable Clean URLs in Drupal 6 on Amazon EC2 servers”.
2. Once the clean urls are enabled, stop the two instances and show me basic functionality of Amazon EC2, so I can do the basic things in EC2. For example, how these are enabled and stopped and the basic operations in EC2. This could be accomplished through Skype.
There is a second part to this project, which you can quote separate. Live site right now is in a dedicated server and running well (databases and code in one only server). At certain times and certain moments, the site has certain issues and goes down. Site has Munin graphs installed on it. I am interested in understanding what is causing the server to go down. If you know how to interpret these graphs or logs to understand what is happening to the site at these moments, this would be a second part of this project.
This is a small trial project and I would like to find someone who can handle and manage more and larger server admin projects for a site which has been growing a lot and will be growing more soon. For these future projects, this person needs to be knowledgeable in Amazon EC2 & S3, optimize servers for running a site, setup cron scripts, configure php installation on ec2 instances with knowledge of installing/upgrading modules, etc.
