Windows Server Operating System with the latest Service Pack
Microsoft Internet Information Services 6.0
Microsoft SQL Server 2005*
ASP.NET AJAX 1.0
.NET Framework version 2.0
Full Trust environment
-create a database called "abc_com" on MSSQL database server**
-locate the folder MSSQL and restore the bak file to “abc_com” database
-assign a user called " abc_com" with ownership permissions and a password of " abc_com" to the newly created database
Connection file: [url removed, login to view]
<add key="dsn" value="data source=[url removed, login to view];database=abc_com;User ID=abc_com;password=abc_com"/>
Replace the above text in read with the information that you have created.
** the names given above are examples and may not necessarily need to be followed.
Give read and write access to the root of the website.
The read/write permission should be given to the user that requires login access to the admin panel, not the anonymous user that has general public access to the website. The reason for the write permission is to allow the administrator to be able to upload images and files through the Site Content Editor (SCE), and make various changes to the navigation, style sheet, etc
-enable parent paths
Home directory -> configuration -> Options -> "Enable Parent Paths"
Securing your Admin portal
-password protect the /admin folder and assign full rights to your admin user as it needs to update data (site files) accordingly as mentioned in the Folder level section above. For certain modules to work, such as the file manager, you would need to use Basic Authentication at the Directory Security level.
Shopping Cart & VGM
If the website has a Shopping Cart or VGM you will also need to modify the following appSetting in the [url removed, login to view] file
<add key="secure_path" value="[url removed, login to view]" />
Replace the above text in read with the secure server url.
