I need a consultancy about the best overall trade-off topology to obtain some grade of redundancy given
these initial objects:
1 ESXi 6.5 host located in Canada (Host A)
1 ESXi 6.7 host located in Germany (Host B)
1 NAS synology for backups located in SWISS (with 1 Gbps bandwidth)
All VMs running on Host A
VCSA 7.0 running currently on Host A
ESXi hosts are on OVH provider, they have a Public Network with 1Gb bandwith and a Private network (vRack) with 2 Gbps bandwith.
There are already some scheduled on-going on-site and off-site backups done by Veeam (or similar)
What to obtain, at increasing levels
- some grade of REDUNDANCY in case Host A will become unavailable I can recover as fast as possible on Host B
- some type of "balancing" having some vVM on Host A and some on Host B.
- what is recommendation and optiond about vMotion, HA and whatever, having has constraints that ESXi hosts are on different sites
